In recent days we have been seeing how the different operators have assembled it to offer their customers one of the phones with the best value for money on the entry-level equipment market, the Nokia Lumia 520. Movistar is committed to selling it at a fixed price of just over 87 euros, while Vodafone comes to deploy a palette of between zero and 170 euros; more Solomonic, the French Orange includes financing or payment options distributed in installments and variable entries, depending on the chosen rates. Thus, we see that the options vary between all tastes and needs.
Thus, not only the large operators offer their users the possibility of obtaining this interesting equipment, as complete as it is economical. The so-called virtual mobile operators (MVNOs) also add to this. And among all of them, the Jazztel proposal is especially remarkable. The Spanish company with a British parent does not complicate life, and allows anyone who wishes to take the Nokia Lumia 520 without opening the wallet. Thus, for an initial cost of zero euros, this Windows Phone 8- based touch phone would be ours with any of its convergent fixed and mobile rate offers.
However, that does not mean that the Nokia Lumia 520 will be free. Nothing of that. During the following two years, Jazztel will charge us 6.05 euros per month for financing. In total, we would have paid about 145 euros at the end of the 24-month commitment, with which we verify a price that is in the average of what we find in the market, since the Nokia Lumia 520 can be found in stores, and in free format, for a single cost of between 140 and 160 euros.
In this simple way, Jazztel puts on the table the possibility of taking this phone with us, which has a four-inch multi-touch screen and a five-megapixel camera with which we could also make video recordings with maximum HD 720p quality. Unfortunately, this camera is not accompanied by an LED flash. However, in general terms, the Nokia Lumia 520 is a very complete terminal. It equips the Snapdragon S4 dual-core processor at one GHz, supported by a 512 MB RAM and allocating eight GB to internal storage.
On the other hand, the compact but complete Nokia Lumia 520 carries everything we could hope for in connections, so that we could access the Internet through Wi-Fi and 3G networks. It also carries ports Bluetooth and microUSB and GPS and standard headphone jack 3.5 mm. Its autonomy in 3G use is close to ten hours and reaches 390 hours in standby, holding us up to 52 hours in continuous music playback. By the way, if the integrated eight GB of memory falls short, we could always resort to installing amicroSD card up to 64GB.
