Despite the fact that a few days ago it was known that some users could already update their Nokia Lumia 800 to the latest version of Windows Phone, it seems that the improvements will not be officially until next year 2013. This was confirmed by a company spokesperson in a statement made to a Dutch portal.
The current Nokia Lumia range is pending to receive the latest update with the improvements. However, a few days ago the possibility that the improvements would reach users early, more specifically this same month of December, was put on the table. And is that one of the terminals was already receiving Windows Phone 7.8 inside: the terminal was the Nokia Lumia 800.
However, a spokesperson for the manufacturer has commented that the improvements are scheduled to come out in 2013, and what has happened is that the update has only been released for units that were released in pre-production. And before customers start to get disappointed, the Nordic company has decided to go out and clear everything up. Therefore, Windows Phone 7.8 will be featured in Nokia's current Windows Phone range early next year. What's more, Nokia's own spokesman has commented that the terminals will automatically notify when the new version of Microsoft's mobile platform is ready. After this, all you have to do is connect the terminal to the computerthrough the Zune program.
Similarly, in Spain it is expected that the new equipment of the company will arrive from the month of January, it is then when the range is renewed and the new Nokia Lumia 920, Nokia Lumia 820 and the most affordable terminal, Nokia appear on the scene. Lumia 620, which will have a price of less than 300 euros in free format.
Meanwhile, teams such as Nokia Lumia 610, Nokia Lumia 710, Nokia Lumia 800 or Nokia Lumia 900 will have different improvements, such as being able to customize the home screen by adjusting the size of the icons depending on their importance. In addition, the wallpaper can also be changed or, choose a background for the lock screen from different sources.
But beware, here is not everything: you will also have access to the new Room function; Private virtual rooms where you can share files with your chosen contacts, as well as chat. This function commented Microsoft, it could also be seen in other mobile platforms with the intention of being able to offer a less closed service.
Also, another of the new functions could be the possibility of creating new ringtones from songs that are stored in the smartphone's memory and that are in MP3 format. Meanwhile, users already know that they should not keep trying to force the update, and that it will arrive in the next few weeks. On the other hand, Nokia has also confirmed its presence in the next edition of the Mobile World Congress 2.013 that will take place in Barcelona between the next February 25 and 28.
