During their international meeting in Singapore, the boss of Nokia, Stephen Elop, showed by surprise and against all odds, a mobile that he referred to as the Nokia Sea Ray (or Nokia C-Ray). It was the first mobile of Finnish manufacture destined to work with Windows Phone, and thus, the dean of the new stage of the company, which happens to be in charge of developing the bedside telephones of the North American Microsoft.
Today we can know that that device could have a name inscribed in the new policy that the Espoo- based company has put in place to baptize its terminals. And it is that as we know thanks to Engadget, a device called Nokia 800 has been included in a list of mobiles that have been developed to work with Windows Phone 7 Mango, the next edition of the operating system created by Redmond.
The mysterious Nokia 800 does not necessarily have to be the Sea Ray that surprised so much a couple of months ago. It could also be an additional terminal for the family of mobiles with which the Finnish presumably could close the year with the commercial premiere of the new line of smartphones behind it. In any case, as it is a leak not confirmed by the manufacturer, little can be said in this regard.
During that appearance to which we have mentioned, Elop confirmed that Nokia is making all possible efforts so that Nokia with Windows Phone can be seen in stores before the end of this year. In any case, the commitment made by the company and its partner in this adventure, Microsoft, set 2012 as the year of the alliance's materialization.
Not surprisingly, we have learned that Nokia will be present at the Mobile World Congress 2012 to be held in Barcelona during the first half of February. Precisely, in the preview of the mobile fair held this year was when the agreement that surprised the two companies was announced. In this way, the presentation of the first complete portfolio could be seen on the anniversary of the agreement. Or will there be surprises in advance at Nokia World 2011 in late October?
