After many rumors and leaks, the Nokia 6 2018 is official. HDM Global has presented the second generation of the Nokia 6, a device that saw the light at the beginning of last year. The new model arrives with slight design changes and with renewed hardware. In addition to its metallic design, the Nokia 6 2018 retains the 5.5-inch 16: 9 screen. Inside we find a Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 processor, accompanied by 4 GB of RAM.
We also do not see news in the resolutions of the cameras. The Nokia 6 2018 has a 16-megapixel main camera and an 8-megapixel front camera. Of course, it incorporates Dual-Sight technology, which allows you to use the front and rear camera simultaneously. The Nokia 6 2018 will go on sale in China next January 10 with a price that will start from 190 euros at the exchange.

Conservative metallic design
HDM has decided not to vary too much the design of the new Nokia 6. Although many users surely expected a design change to a screen without frames, this has not occurred. So we have a very similar design to what we saw last year.
The terminal is manufactured using a single piece of 6000 series aluminum to improve strength and durability. In addition, a two-color anodizing process with diamond cutting technology has been used to achieve premium finishes.
Despite not having risked too much in the design, we do have some changes. The fingerprint reader has been moved to the rear. In addition, the physical buttons have been eliminated to pass them inside the screen. And we even have some metallic profiles in gold and reddish color (depending on the model) that give it a more elegant finish.
As for the screen, the Nokia 6 2018 equips a 5.5-inch IPS panel with a Full HD resolution of 1,920 x 1,080 pixels. The screen is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass and includes 2.5D glass to curve the edges.
Improving the interior
As expected, the Nokia 6 2018 improves on the technical set of the previous model. In this case we have a Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 processor. It is a chip with eight cores and a maximum speed of 2.2 GHz. Accompanying this processor we have 4 GB of high-speed DDR4 RAM.
As for storage, the Nokia 6 2018 will come with two versions. On the one hand we will have an internal capacity of 32 GB and, on the other hand, a model with 64 GB capacity. Both will be expandable via a microSD card of up to 128 GB.
We do not have much news in the photographic section. As the main camera it equips a 16 megapixel sensor with phase detection autofocus. This has an f / 2.0 aperture and is accompanied by a double LED flash.
In the front of the terminal we have a camera with an 8 megapixel sensor and f / 2.0 aperture. This is an 84 degree wide angle with 1.12 µm pixels.
But perhaps the most interesting thing about the Nokia 6 2018 is that it includes Dual-Sight technology. This function, seen in the Nokia 7 and Nokia 8, allows you to use the front and rear cameras simultaneously. That is, with a split screen we will see the image of both cameras and we can both take photos and record with both at the same time.
Price and launch
In short, the Nokia 6 2018 is a small evolution compared to its predecessor. Its design is very conservative, although it does include some interesting news. Of course we have a processor update and a system update, since it comes with Android 7.1.1. And although the cameras keep their technical data, now the Dual-Sight function is included.
The Nokia 6 2018 will go on sale in China on January 10, 2018. Its price, in exchange, will be about 190 euros for the model with 3 GB of RAM and 220 euros for the model with 4 GB of RAM.
