Nokia was one of the brands that were going to debut this year at the IFA in Berlin with the presentation of several of its devices. Although at first there was talk of up to four different terminals, it seems that finally there are two that arrive officially. We refer to the Nokia 6.2 and the Nokia 7.2, the renewal of the Nokia 6.1 and 7.1 that were launched on the market a few months ago and this time they undergo a major facelift in order to compete with the rest of mid-range smartphones during this year and part of 2020.
Nokia 6.2 and Nokia 7.2 datasheet
The drop-shaped notch reaches the mid-range
Perhaps the most significant change between the 6 and 7 series this year compared to the previous year has to do with the design, a design that is dominated by a notch in the shape of a drop of water and materials based on glass and glass. aluminum.
The percentage of surface utilization is also improved and a 6.3-inch screen is integrated, which in both models is the same. A screen consisting of an IPS LCD panel with Full HD + resolution and that is also compatible with HDR10.
If we move to the rear, it is renewed with a glass panel with a mirror finish that accompanies a circular camera module with three independent sensors and a fingerprint sensor that is located in the middle of the set.
Hardware: little evolution compared to Nokia 6.1 and Nokia 7.1
The hardware section is probably the biggest negative point of the Nokia 6.2 and the Nokia 7.2. Both use a processor signed by Qualcomm; specifically the Snapdragon 636 in the case of the Nokia 6.2 and the Snapdragon 660 in the case of the Nokia 7.2.
Along with these we find RAM capacities ranging from 3 and 4 GB of the cheapest model to 4 and 6 GB of the Nokia 7.2. 32 and 64 GB and 64 and 128 GB are the capacities that accompany the two Nokia terminals. The good news is that both capabilities are expandable via micro SD cards.
As for the rest of the features, the two phones share a large part of the specifications that have to do with connectivity and autonomy. Same 3,500 mAh battery, same 10 W fast charging system and same connections: Bluetooth 5.0, dual-band WiFi, FM radio and USB Type-C for charging devices. Of course, Android One is the system that hides under Android 9 Pie, the base on which both terminals run.
Now yes, triple camera for almost everything
Along with design, the photographic section is one of the aspects that has suffered the most from previous generations. A photographic section that is made up of three cameras in the two cases where the main difference, in the absence of official confirmation, is in the main sensor.
And is that while the main sensor of the Nokia 6.2 consists of a 16 megapixel camera, the Nokia 7.2 sensor has no less than 48 megapixels.
The company has not elaborated on the focal aperture of the sensors or the type of sensor used. What we do know is that the two phones share the two complementary sensors that make up the rear camera: an 8-megapixel sensor with a 118ยบ wide-angle lens and a 5-megapixel sensor for functions aimed at enhancing the depth of images.
As for the front camera, the company has not given many details about its specifications, beyond the fact that we have two 8 and 20 megapixel sensors in the Nokia 6.2 and 7.2.
Price and availability of the Nokia 6.2 and 7.2 in Spain
