Nokia's entry-level catalog expands. The HMD Global company announced just a few weeks ago the Nokia 2.2, a compact and inexpensive terminal with basic features for day to day. Now, this mobile arrives in Spain for less than 100 euros. We tell you its characteristics, how much it costs and where we can buy it.
Although the Nokia 2.2 is an entry-level range, its build is quite premium. It has a shiny glass back where we see a main camera and an LED flash. Of course, the Nokia and Android One logo are also present, as well as the main speaker, which is located at the bottom. The front area is also made of glass, with a screen that houses a small drop-type notch for the selfie camera and sensors in the upper area. Just below we find the Nokia logo.
One of the most outstanding features of this Nokia 2.2 is its operating system. It has Android One, a special edition of Android for cheap terminals and with fewer resources. The truth is that Nokia has been launching devices under Android One for some time. They have greater support for updates, have a clean interface and do not have third-party apps reinstalled, except for a couple from the manufacturer. Android One, which runs under Android 9.0 Pie, also includes all Google's options, such as integration with the Assistant or Google Lens. Of course, it is compatible with Android 10 Q, the next version of Android that will arrive later this year.

The Nokia 2.2 has a large 6.71-inch screen. Mount a panel with HD + resolution and LCD technology. Inside we find a Mediatek Helio processor and accompanied, in this case, with 2 GB of RAM and 16 or 32 GB of internal storage, which are expandable via micro SD. All this with an autonomy of 3,000 mAh.
In the photographic section we find a 13 megapixel main sensor. We only have one lens, so we lose the standard settings in most terminals, such as zoom photography or portrait mode. Of course, it includes an AI mode to adjust the camera parameters automatically. The camera for selfies is 5 megapixels. This lens is also responsible for performing facial recognition.
Price and availability in Spain
The Nokia 2.2 is now available in Spain at a price of 99 euros for the most basic version, with 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of storage. It can be purchased in gray and black. It is already available in the main online stores and telephone stores.
