Folding mobiles are the future. Surely you have read that phrase more than once, the truth is that manufacturers are putting the batteries with their folding mobiles. They launch devices on the market, show concepts or patent designs that could appear in the form of a real device in the coming months. But not all are folding or flexible mobiles. A new Samsung patent reveals a very futuristic terminal, with hardly any frames. This could be the Samsung Galaxy One.
The patent has been revealed thanks to Lets Go Digital, and although the design that has been registered in the patent office does not allow the terminal to be seen clearly, the portal specialized in telephony news has created some renderings where we can appreciate its design. It is a mobile with a glass and 3D screen on the front.Something similar to what we have already seen in the Galaxy S10 and Note 10 with its double curvature, but in this case much more pronounced and carried to all the edges of the terminal. The curvature would be so deep (90 degrees exactly) that we could even interact with it via different shortcuts or digital buttons on the screen. It can even display content such as notification icons, shortcuts, or small notification texts. It is very reminiscent of the Huawei Mate 30 Pro, a mobile that also has a very pronounced double curvature. Or, the recently announced Mi Mix Alpha, which is an all-screen mobile, even on the back.
Samsung's mobile future?
This new mobile design without frames and with a very curved screen has been registered in a patent, which does not mean that it will be launched. However, everything indicates that it is the first mobile of the Galaxy One series. During the last months, rumors have appeared about this new series that could arrive in 2020, along with the Galaxy S11. Or even replace the Galaxy S11. According to the leaks, the Galaxy One would merge the Galaxy S and Galaxy Note, and this could be the first terminal. Although the truth is that it could be delayed over the next year. Be that as it may, we will be attentive to this new concept that may seem much more useful than a flexible mobile.
