Do you have problems with the keyboard of your Samsung mobile? Do not worry, you're not the only one. Some users have reported that the keyboard disappears, locks, or no key works.
A real headache whether you're just doing a Google search or chatting with your friends on WhatsApp. How to solve this problem? We'll tell you then.
Clear keyboard data
We start with a basic solution. Try clearing the keyboard data to make sure that no settings or changes you have made are creating a conflict.
For this, go to Settings >> Applications >> Show system applications and scroll until you find Samsung Keyboard. You select it and choose Storage >> Clear data.
Restart the mobile and test the keyboard. If the problem is with another keyboard that you have installed, then repeat the same steps. Or better yet, uninstall the keyboard app and reinstall it on your mobile.
Try Safe Mode for conflicts
If deleting the data from the keyboard has not worked then you will have to look for the cause of the problem in other elements of the mobile. To do this, activate the "Safe Mode".
Turn off or restart the mobile, and when you turn it on again press the volume down button until the home screen appears. While in Safe Mode, use the mobile testing the keyboard to detect if it continues to generate problems.
If the keyboard acts normal then the problem may be one of the applications you have installed. Perhaps one of the latest apps you downloaded is creating conflicts, or a virus has crept in.
Try other keyboards
Nothing seems to work so far? Then it is time to install another keyboard app. This way you will know if it is only a problem with the default Samsung keyboard (or the application you use) or if you have a more serious problem.
There are many cool keyboard apps to choose from, so you won't have a problem. One of the most customizable is SwiftKey.
It is one of the most stable keyboards and that you have almost no complaints from users. So if you install this app and notice that it also generates the same problems, then the problem is the mobile.
To download it (since you don't have a keyboard) you can use Google Assistant by ordering it to download the app from Google Play.
And if nothing works…
Some users have been more drastic and have opted for a factory data reset. It is a tedious process, but they assure that it has been effective.
It seems extreme to reset the mobile to the factory for a keyboard application that works badly, but if you dare, you can opt for this solution. But first be sure to try other less dramatic options and consider all factors:
- Do you have updated the keyboard application? Check if the manufacturer has released patches or updates to fix the problem.
- Are you using the keyboard in its beta version? If yes, then install the stable version.
Problems with Gboard?
If you have the problem with the Gboard keyboard, that's a separate headache. For days the Google keyboard has all users in the head, and at the moment there is no solution.
Try if you want some of the options we mentioned before, but it is recommended that you use another keyboard until Google releases an update solving this problem.
