There will be no more updates for the samsung galaxy a3 2016, galaxy j1 and galaxy j3

According to Sammobile, a blog specialized in the Korean brand Samsung, the electronic products company has published on its website a list of terminals that may not have, as of now, more security updates. These terminals are the 2016 Samsung Galaxy A3, the Samsung Galaxy J1 and the Samsung Galaxy J3. If you have any of them, it is time you think about renewing your phone.
Security updates are the main problem in the Android ecosystem. Manufacturers outside of Google go at their own pace, having to adapt such updates to their own customization layer. Typically, Samsung's top-of-the-line gets 3 years of security updates, while the mid-range, for budget reasons, only gets a couple of them.
Android security updates and obsolescence
As we say, on its security updates page, Samsung has ended up permanently eliminating these three terminals. Likewise, it has added four new devices to this same page: Samsung Galaxy A8 (2018), Samsung Galaxy A8 + (2018), Samsung Galaxy J2 (2018) and the Samsung Galaxy Tab Active2 tablet.
Recently, Samsung has launched its new Samsung Galaxy A8 Enterprise Edition, promising 3 years of monthly security updates for this terminal. The only difference between the Enterprise Edition and the one we already know is that this new terminal incorporates dual SIM, making it a very suitable terminal for those who always have to have a work mobile, in addition to staff.
Bad news for all the owners of these terminals who see how obsolescence forces them to have to renew their mobile terminals. Something that we have to think about, without a doubt when buying a mobile phone is future security updates. Not having a properly updated phone can take a toll on us as it is much more exposed to cybercriminals and possible theft of personal data. That is why when acquiring a terminal we should opt for one from the current year, avoiding models from previous years.
