A few months ago, Movistar launched a new service called Movistar Car on the market. This service uses a small device with an Internet connection capable of generating a WiFi network in the car with the possibility of multi-device connection. Among its main functions are the possibility of locating the car at any time from our phone and the implementation of Movistar Car SOS to make automatic calls to 112 in the event of an accident, among others. Now the service is officially launched in Spain, and it does so through a promotional offer with up to 3 months free.

After Movistar presented Movistar Car in mid-December, the company announced its availability for mid-2019. The service is already available for hiring, and currently has a cost of only 3 euros per month with line registration free (the cost is usually 20 euros) and 3 months of free use if it is contracted from today through the Movistar page.
The operation of the service is based on a small device compatible with the OBD connection of cars whose manufacture is not prior to 2004 for gasoline cars and 2005 for diesel cars where a 4G SIM card from Movistar Car is included to give connection both to the device in question and to the rest of the devices connected to it through the WiFi network.
Regarding the coverage of the service, Movistar Car includes 3 GB of Internet connection with the possibility of a WiFi access point to connect other devices, in addition to Movistar Car SOS to manage 112 emergency services in the event of an accident.
The Movistar service also has real-time geolocation of the vehicle so that it has its position at all times even if it is in motion. It also has an integrated browser to calculate the best routes of a route and warn about the location of the radars and an alert and maintenance system that allows us to schedule appointments related to car maintenance to receive alerts of possible failures.
Finally, Movistar Car is compatible with the offers that Movistar offers with discounts on refueling, insurance and car maintenance.
