While the North American Motorola recognizes that it is not selling as many Xoom tablets as it would have liked before its launch, the first rumors that pose a second edition in the market this year are beginning to emerge. Without being official, there is already talk of a Motorola Xoom 2, whose specifications would be surprising because of how far they would be from the concept of a tablet as we understand it today.
And it is that as is being raised, this second generation of Xoom would be equipped with the operating system that Google would come to design for smart phones, Ice Cream Sandwich, which in theory would be released on the Google Nexus 3 at the end of the year.
On the other hand, the Motorola Xoom 2 would join the trend that is to come for tablets with very high resolution. Specifically, it equips a canvas 2,048 x 1,536 pixels, according to know through Into Mobile. The size of the panel would be ten inches, and it would distribute its format on a 4: 3 screen (that is, it would abandon the landscape aspect). Given this resolution, the Motorola Xoom 2 would solve the performance problem with a powerful processor.
It is rumored that this Motorola Xoom 2 would be one of the first terminals to test the new generation of quad-core chips (quad-core) from NVIDIA, which until now we know as the Kal-El (the Kryptonian name of Superman, so figure out the speed to be achieved by this processor).
Through Fudzilla they go further, and claim that the North American manufacturer is already working with prototypes of the Motorola Xoom 2. Even, they indicate, a source from the personnel who has had access to that test version, affirms that the Motorola Xoom 2 would be thinner than the first generation tablet of this company.
