Users who have in their possession a Motorola RAZR or a Motorola RAZR Maxx "" the version with an extended battery "" can update to the latest version of Google's operating system: Android 4.0. As reported by the North American company, which currently belongs to Google's business park, Spain is among the countries that will receive the expected update.
The Motorola RAZR and Motorola RAZR Maxx are the most powerful Android phones in the manufacturer's portfolio. These complement the sector of tablets that the company also has in the market and that its Motorola XOOM is called to be one of the first devices to receive the recent Jelly Bean version or Android 4.1.
Both models are made of KEVLAR : a very resistant and lightweight material that will provide robustness and a touch of originality to the equipment. Of course, the Motorola RAZR Maxx model is somewhat thicker due to the large capacity battery that it includes "" allows you to talk about 18 hours without the need to recharge "". But let's see how it should be updated or what are the steps to follow if you receive a notification indicating the new software or how to force your search:
Before starting with the steps, it will always be advisable to make a backup copy of all the files and information hosted on the mobile; you never know if something goes wrong and you lose all your data. It should also be taken into account that once the current version "" Gingerbread or Android 2.3 for more details "" is replaced, it will not be possible to return to it. Another aspect will be to have the battery charged to the maximum level and, of course, carry out the download "" if possible "" using a WiFi wireless point and leaving aside the 3G connections.
In the first place, if the client receives a notification on his terminal stating that a new version of the operating system is available, the user must first click on the download section. Once this process has finished, you will have to indicate that you want to install "" up to here is the same process as when you download an application from the Google Play virtual store "".
After installation, the mobile will restart automatically. And once launched again, the changes should be shown from the first moment with all the new functions and, above all, the new look. In case the client wants to remain calm and see that everything has run its course normally, in the section “about this phone”, it should appear that the software version that has been installed has the following numbering: 6.7.2-180_SPU- 19-TA-11.2.
On the other hand, in case of not having received the notification automatically, the user should proceed to do a manual tracking. How is this achieved? Very simple. First, the customer must go to the main menu of the Motorola RAZR or Motorola RAZR Maxx. Once inside, click on the "Settings" icon and go to the "About phone" sub-section. And within it, select the "System updates" menu. After this movement, the mobile should show the update with the previous numbering and allow the user to download it. Later, you would have to follow the same steps above: download; install and finally, restart the terminal for the changes to take effect.
From then on, customers will have a new user interface. Flash technology will no longer be installed by default; the user must download it from Google Play. Or, for example, the camera gets new features such as being able to capture images while watching a video or taking photos in panoramic format.
