Without prior notice from the brand, Motorola has just made the Moto G8 official, the natural renewal of the Moto G7 whose main reason for being part of the design. The rest of the features remain in line with what the manufacturer presented last year with the seventh version of its G series. Now the terminal adopts a new look, replicating part of the hardware that we have seen with the Moto G8 Power.

Design: in the line of the Motorola Moto G8 except for one detail
About a month ago Motorola introduced the Moto G8 Power and Moto G Stylus. Both shared the design of the chassis, with a screen punched by a camera and a glass back accompanied by a photographic module of several cameras.
The new Moto G8 replicates this same line with a 6.4-inch IPS screen. The most curious thing about the panel is that its resolution now becomes HD +. Recall that the Motorola Moto G7 had a Full HD + panel with the same diagonal as its counterpart.
Where the phone does evolve is in the autonomy section: 4,000 mAh compared to the 3,000 mAh of the Moto G7. Also, the phone has a 10 W fast charging system, in addition to a rear fingerprint sensor located in the brand's logo and a 3.5-millimeter input for the headphones.
Small jump in specs, despite everything
Another difference that the Moto G8 presents with respect to 2018 models has to do with the hardware. Now the terminal has a Snapdragon 665 processor.
Although the processor represents a qualitative leap, the device maintains the same memory options: 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal storage expandable via micro SD card. The absence of NFC connectivity stands out, despite the fact that the Motorola Moto G7 included it in some variants. The rest of the connections are maintained: Bluetooth 5.0, FM radio, USB type C 2.0…
Three cameras plus one
The news regarding the photographic section of the phone is something more tangible than the rest of the sections. The phone comes with three 16 and 2 megapixel rear cameras. While the first sensor serves as the main camera, the second and third feature a 118º wide angle lens and a macro lens for capturing close-up objects. Unfortunately Motorola has not provided technical information about the second sensor.
If we move to the front, the Moto G8 has a single 8 megapixel camera. The focal aperture of the sensor is f / 2.2, by the way. It is unknown if they will come with modes geared towards motion video recording, like their namesakes. Everything points to yes, precisely due to the lack of technical data.
Price and availability of the Motorola Moto G8 in Spain
As usual, the phone has been presented in Brazil. The exchange price in euros leaves us with a value of around 250 euros, a value that could increase upon arrival in Spain. There is no scheduled date at the moment.
