The entire Motorola Moto G7 series has just been launched in Brazil. It does so with the renewal of all its mid-range models, including the Moto G7, G7 Play, G7 Power and the one that concerns us on this occasion, the Moto G7 Plus. The latter is the one with the best spec sheet of the three, with a number of renewed features compared to the previous generation. Better processor, better screen and a better used design in relation to the size of the screen compared to that of the body.

Notch comes to Motorola's G range
The "notch", notch or drop finally reaches the Motorola G range. In the case of the Motorola Moto G7 Plus, we find a design quite similar to that of the previous year with the exception of the front.
This is made up of a 6.27-inch screen with Full HD + resolution, IPS technology and a drop-shaped notch that helps improve the ratio of screen utilization to body size. In this regard, Motorola has not given details about its ratio. The only thing we know is that the terminal is 3 millimeters lower than the Moto G6 Plus.
As for the rest of the design section, we do not find great differences with those of the past generation. Body made of curved glass, an even narrower lower frame, some sides made of aluminum and the availability in three colors: White, Dark Blue and Garnet Red. It should be noted that the device is somewhat thicker (specifically, 3 millimeters) despite having a smaller battery in size.
Improved features over last year's Moto G6 Plus
The design has not been the only thing that has changed compared to the last generation; also the specifications.
In summary, the characteristics of the Motorola Moto G7 Plus are composed of a Snapdragon 636 processor (last year had a Snapdragon 636), an Adreno 509 GPU, 4 and 6 GB of RAM and two storage versions, 64 and 128 GB. Of course, it is expandable via micro SD cards, and the wireless connections are exactly the same as the Moto G6 Plus. In this last aspect, the integration of better hardware was expected, especially taking into account that of other competing models such as the Xiaomi Mi A2 or the Mi 8 Lite.
Regarding the software, Motorola repeats the combination of other years with a fairly clean version of Android and with a reduced number of custom applications. Part of Android 9 Pie, the latest version of the system available to date. Unfortunately, we do not have the Google Android One update program.
Cameras without many apparent changes
The cameras section has surely been the one that has suffered the least changes compared to the Moto G6 Plus. In essence, we find the same characteristics in terms of resolution and focal aperture.
Two sensors of 12 and 5 megapixels with focal aperture f / 1.7 and f / 2.2 is what we find on the back. It also has object recognition, portrait mode, text scanner, face filters, and a professional mode. It is also capable of recording in slow motion, timelapse, super slow motion and in 4K. We do not expect major changes in terms of the quality of photos and videos
And what about the front camera? In this case we do find some differences. A sensor with 12 megapixels and focal aperture f / 1.7 that compared to the Moto G6 augurs better results in low light conditions and during the day. And yes, it has facial unlocking.
Worst battery and better charging technology
In this section we find a rather bittersweet flavor. And it is that although we find a charging technology better than the previous generation, the battery is considerably reduced.
A capacity of 3,000 mAh is what we find in this model (that of last year started from 3,200 mAh). Taking into account that the processor is somewhat more powerful and the screen has a larger size, it is to be expected that the autonomy is worse than that of the Moto G6 Plus, although it will be necessary to see how it behaves in real use.
In terms of charging technology, we find the same Quick Charge 4th, although it supports charges of up to 27 W through the compatible charger included in the phone case.
Price and availability in Spain of the Motorola Moto G7 Plus
It will be available from February 7 to buy on Amazon while for the rest of the stores it will be from February 15. It will be available for purchase by operators in April.
The recommended price will be 300 euros for its version with 4 GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. We still don't know anything about the version with 6 and 128 GB.
