While waiting for the arrival of the new member of the Motorola family, the Motorola Milestone 3 or Motorola Droid 3 model, users of the current model: Milestone 2, will be wondering: "when will the long-awaited update to Android Gingerbread?" Well, apparently, and according to official Motorola sources, the update will have to wait a few more days.
But neither should you despair in the attempt. And is that the update to Android Gingerbread is scheduled after the release of the new Motorola Milestone 3 model, which if everything goes as planned, should be presented on July 7. This means that a week later it would be up for sale.
And, this same strategy has already been seen before by other companies. An example of this has been HTC with its Desire range. After the release of its 2011 range, the old models began to receive their corresponding increase in android version; the version for HTC Desire is in the testing phase and should be released in the next few weeks.
And it seems that, and according to comments from DroidLife, Motorola follows the following strategy: With the first Milestone, the manufacturer presented the first mobile in its range to integrate Android 2.0. With Motorola Milestone 2, the same was done but with the Froyo version of Android. And now the turn is for the future Motorola Milestone 3, which will be in charge of "presenting" Android Gingerbread under its circuits.
