MIUI 12 is the latest version of Xiaomi's popular customization layer. Despite the fact that the update was announced back in May, the truth is that the number of devices that have this iteration is still quite low. This is due, in part, to the large number of mobiles that the brand has in its catalog. In fact, one of the big complaints from users is that MIUI 12 does not reach their Xiaomi phones. This time we will show you how to download the update manually without resorting to complex methods.

So you can download and install MIUI 12 manually
There are several ways to download MIUI 12 manually. The simplest is to resort to Downmi, a website that collects all the packages launched by Xiaomi to date from its complete phone catalog. We can access the website in question through the following link:
Once inside the web, just select the smartphone model and the type of ROM that we want to download. Ideally, opt for Global Stable unless our phone comes directly from China. MIUI if 12 is available, the package will be indicated with the numbering V12.0.XX. Versions based on MIUI 11 and MIUI 10 will be indicated with the numbers V11.0.XX and V10.0.XX
After downloading the package corresponding to the MIUI 12 ROM, the installation process is really simple, just access the section About the phone that we can find in the Settings application. In this section we will click on System update and finally on the three points that are shown at the top of the interface.
Now the system will enable a pop-up window with different options; the one that interests us is Select upgrade package. Next, we will select the package that we just downloaded, which will usually be located in the Downloads folder.
