- Main news of MIUI 11
Last September Xiaomi unveiled its new MIUI 11 customization layer. So far only users from their native country, China, have been able to try it officially, but this has its days numbered. The company has published a roadmap of all the models that will be able to enjoy all the news in this version shortly. The update will begin in India, although it is a matter of time before it begins to be deployed in the rest of the countries where the devices are marketed.
According to a post from the official MIUI India Twitter account, MIUI 11 will land from October 22 to 31 on the Poco F1, Redmi K20, Redmi Y3, Redmi 7, Redmi Note 7, Redmi Note 7S and Redmi Note 7 Pro. No they will be the only ones. Devices like the Redmi K20 Pro, Redmi 6 and 6 Pro, Redmi Note 5 and Note 5 Pro, Redmi 5, Redmi Y1 and Y2, and the Mi Max 2 will receive MIUI 11 a little later, from November 1 to 12. It's worth noting that Redmi A-series devices, from the Redmi 8A to the Redmi 6A, are also included in this roadmap.

If your mobile is on the list, the normal thing is that when the date arrives, you will receive a pop-up message in a few days or weeks on the panel of your device advising you of the update. This comes in the form of OTA (Over The Air), so you will not need to use any type of cable to install it on your computer. It is only necessary that you have a stable and secure WiFi connection and that, of course, you have the mobile on more than half of the battery.
Main news of MIUI 11
MIUI 11 was officially announced last September along with the presentation of the Xiaomi Mi 9 Pro and Xiaomi Mi MIX Alpha. The company's new customization layer is based on Android 10 and is a significant leap when compared to the previous version, especially in terms of design. One of the main novelties of MIUI 11 is the long-awaited dark mode, which wraps the background of the screen in this color. With this, it is possible to reduce the visual impact so as not to tire the eyes so much when using the device, but also to save battery.
If advertising is not your thing, MIUI 11 has a button within the settings with which you can easily disable ads. Likewise, Xiaomi has improved in this version the interface of the Always One screen. In this way, now it will be possible to use new animations and themes inspired by nature. On the other hand, Xiaomi has added in MIUI 11 a system similar to the digital well-being of Android 9, so you can limit the time you spend using certain applications. Other novelties are a more minimalist aesthetic, new sounds or improvements in the smart assistant.
