Only five months have passed since the presentation of the Nokia Lumia 830, but the American company Microsoft could be currently working on a new version of this smartphone. The new Lumia 830 would be thinner than its predecessor, so we are talking about a thickness of less than 8.5 mm. The clues that have been leaked in relation to this new smartphone are scarce, although everything indicates that we would be talking about a mobile that would be officially presented during this same year 2015.
This new version of the Lumia 830 would not only incorporate a reduced thickness, but would also be presented with the most recent version of the Windows Phone operating system, Windows 10 for mobile, installed at the factory. This would result in the presence of new features such as a fully customizable wallpaper, a new and revamped Settings menu, a new notification system and a much more customizable virtual keyboard.
The leak also points out that Microsoft will not use the name Lumia 835 to refer to this new version of the Lumia 830. Apparently, Americans will begin to use a completely different nomenclature to refer to the smartphones of the Lumia line of mobiles, a decision that would seek to make it even clearer which mobiles belong to the entry ranges, the mid-ranges and the high ranges.. Until today, Nokia used to use a number system in which - generally - the higher the number that accompanied the name of the mobile, the greater the range it belonged to.
The source of this new rumor about a new Microsoft version of the Lumia 830 is debatable to say the least. It turns out that a user of the American forum Reddit has posted a message stating that he had had the opportunity to see a prototype of a new smartphone with Windows Phone operating system. A few hours after publishing the message, the user proceeded to delete it, assuring that he did not want to have problems with Microsoft. The only data that was disclosed in this message is what we have collected on this occasion, so it is very difficult to determine if we are talking about truthful information.
There is no doubt that Microsoft will be present at the Mobile World Congress 2015 technology event. And since we are talking about an event in which the big mobile phone brands usually present a smartphone, it is very likely that Microsoft will release information about a new mobile phone in the Lumia range. In the event that the information about the new version of the Lumia 830 is ultimately not true, there are still other candidates to be presented at MWC 2015, such as the rumored Microsoft Lumia 1330.
