US company Microsoft has confirmed his attendance at the Mobile World Congress 2015, the technological event taking place in the city of Barcelona (Spain) between days 2 and 5 of March of next year 2015. Microsoft will have its own reserved space at Stand 3M30 in Hall 3 and at Stand 2E10 in Hall 2. This confirmation, in addition to being good news for the variety of brands that will be at this event, adds even more possibilities toMicrosoft can take advantage of this MWC 2015 event to officially present a new smartphone in the Lumia range.
At the moment completely unaware of the news that Microsoft presented at the Mobile World Congress 2015, while buying the mobile division of Nokia by Microsoft suggests to us that this event will be two important presentations: A new smart phone Lumia range, signed under the Microsoft logo, and probably new official details about the update of Windows 10 in its mobile version.
Regarding the more than likely presentation of a new Microsoft Lumia mobile, one of the most likely candidates to be seen officially at the Mobile World Congress 2015 is the new Microsoft Lumia 940. This smartphone would come to the market to accompany the recently introduced Microsoft Lumia 535, and rumors indicate that between technical specifications we would find a display of five inches with 1,920 x 1,080 pixel resolution and Protection Corning Gorilla Glass 4.
All other features of the new Lumia 940 seems to be complemented by a processor Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 of four cores running at 2.7 GHz, three gigabytes of RAM, 32 / 64 / to 128 gigabytes of internal memory and a main chamber with sensor PureView of 24 megapixels. All this accompanied by, presumably, the Windows Phone operating system in its most recent version of Windows 10.
And regarding upgrading Windows 10, Microsoft is expected to take the Mobile World Congress 2015 to unveil some new details about the planned distribution date for this new version of the Windows Phone operating system. To this day it is only known in an extra-official way that the Windows 10 update should begin to be distributed in the middle of next year 2015, and beyond the confirmation that all mobiles with Windows Phone 8 will be compatible with Windows 10, we do not know any other official data.
To give us an idea of the importance of the Mobile World Congress event in the mobile telephony sector, it is enough that we recall the attendance of the Finnish company Nokia during this year's 2014 edition. It turns out that, at the Mobile World Congress 2014, Nokia officially presented a repertoire of new mobiles consisting of the Nokia 220, the Nokia Asha 230, the Nokia X, the Nokia X + and the Nokia XL.
