What's better than creating your own avatar and controlling it with gestures to make funny videos? Right! Wear Disney avatars, which are always more cute and adorable. And funnier when they say or do inappropriate things. Well, this is what users of the new Samsung Galaxy S9 and its older brother, the Samsung Galaxy S9 + can do from the moment they take the phone out of the box. And is that Samsung has already included Mickey and Minnie as characters to use among its AR Emoji.
This is a new feature of Samsung's flagship terminals, which will arrive from today, the day these phones are put on sale. Mickey and Minnie are the avatars that respond to our facial gestures and expressions. All this through the AR Emojis function, which inevitably recalls the Animojis launched with the iPhone X a few months ago.
In this case we will not have to create a new AR Emoji in the Samsung terminal. It will be enough to move through the gallery of the lower tab of the camera application, within the AR Emojis section, to find available characters. In this way, either with the selfie camera or the rear camera, we can frame a face and see how it transforms into Mickey or Minnie instantly.
However, the funniest thing about this experience is that the character seen on the screen imitates the user who is being framed, whether we are ourselves or a friend. That is, if this person opens his mouth, Mickey will also open it in a similar way. And if you wink, the Disney character will do the same. The same applies to head movements in any direction. Something that is possible thanks to the recognition of faces and features that the camera software of the Samsung Galaxy S9 does. This technology tracks up to 100 landmarks on our face, mimicking the movements of the features on the avatar with almost no delay.
The result not only serves to have a good time as an experience. Being integrated into the Samsung Camera application, it is possible to take photos and record videos with our voice and our gestures, although the person who is represented in the graphic document is Mickey or Minnie.
If this function does not appear by default on your Samsung Galaxy S9 or Samsung Galaxy S9 + mobile. You just have to click on the + button on the content tab and select the Emoji package you want to download, among which are Disney's Mickey and Minnie. Of course, they will not be the only ones since, throughout this year, other packages with characters from Disney films such as The Incredibles or Zootopia will be published.
