If your mobile phone turns off having a battery, it is something quite common that happens to many people, although it is not normal. It can happen with 15, 20, 40% of the battery or with any other percentage of power. It is something arbitrary and that in any case indicates that something is wrong with our phone.
And the options can be several: from the need for a battery change to simply requiring a calibration. But how do we know what to find in each case?
Calibrating the battery of our phone
The first and most logical thing to do is start with the free and least intrusive process: calibration. If this does not work, we will not have wasted more than a little time, but no money. It is not necessary to spend money that in some cases on a new battery and its installation so that later a calibration through software is simply necessary.
Calibration is basically telling the phone: hey, right now you don't have any power and you're at 0%; and right now you are at 100%, after loading it. Actually, this method works not only for mobile phones, but also for any other device that has a battery, such as an external battery itself. These are the steps:
- We need the battery to be fully charged, 100%, so we put it to charge and leave it plugged into the mains a little longer even if it is at maximum. This extra rate can be approximately 10 minutes.
- Now we will do the reverse process, download it. It can be a bit heavy, so we recommend you play with the phone or open applications that consume a lot of battery if we do not want to wait for the battery to drain due to normal use; We can also listen to YouTube music with the screen on.
If we are on Android we have AnTuTu Tester, a program with which we can quickly discharge the battery. It is very important that we do not turn off the phone before it reaches 0%. It should turn off by itself and, if we can, we should try to turn it on again several times so that it depletes any trace of power that might remain in the battery.
Once without charge, we recharge it again
