Although it is not usually a very frequent problem, the truth is that it is more common than it seems. Dozens of Huawei mobile users have reported problems with the sound of their devices. “My Huawei mobile is very quiet”, “The speaker cannot be heard. Nothing sounds "," It is heard low "… These problems extend to models such as the Huawei P20 Lite and P30 Lite, the P8 and P9 Lite, the Y5, Y6, Y7 and Y9 and many other terminals of the brand. Most of the time it is a hardware failure. Others, the solution is to apply a series of methods based on the software to solve the error. We have compiled some of these methods to fix sound errors on Huawei phones.
Check that the volume of the applications is at maximum
The latest Android and EMUI updates have completely revamped the system volume management. Now we can control the volume of alarms, applications, calls and notifications individually. In this way, we may have muted the volume of calls but not that of multimedia playback.
To calibrate the volume level we will have to go to the Sound section in Settings. Then we will slide all the volume controls to their maximum level to prevent the phone from being silent.
Turn off the phone and check the speaker compartment
Sometimes a simple restart of the phone can help to fix any problem or conflict, regardless of its origin. Before turning the terminal back on, it is recommended to check the speaker compartment to see if there are any specks obstructing the sound. If we detect any type of liquid inside the compartment we will have to put the phone in rice immediately for at least 24 hours to avoid possible damage to the plate.
Use the GOODEV Volume Booster app
We have already discovered that it is a speaker error. If we do not want to resort to technical service, we can use the GOODEV Volume Amplifier application. As its name suggests, it is a volume booster that forces the speaker to emit louder sound than it is capable of reproducing.
To increase the volume we will have to slide the Boost bar at the same time as the Volume bar. It is also recommended to enable the Amplify option at startup to start the application automatically. Of course, we must bear in mind that prolonged use of this application can end up damaging the speaker irreparably. However, it can serve as a temporary solution.
Reset your mobile completely
Who says the failure may be due to a hardware failure. Completely resetting the phone will help us rule out potential software problems or conflicts with third-party applications. The process is as simple as going to the settings application, specifically up to Reset. Finally we will click on Reset the phone.
Or update to the latest version of EMUI
Sometimes phone errors can be caused by EMUI updates. As soon as Huawei realizes the error, it will release an update that will repair that error, as has already been seen on more than one occasion. The solution, therefore, is to update the phone to the latest version through Settings / System / Software update. If the phone detects a new update, it will update automatically after accepting the terms.
