If you have reached this article, it is probably because your Android mobile or tablet is slow. Despite the fact that most smartphones have relatively solvent hardware even in the lower ranges, it is not uncommon to find smartphones that perform poorly. If a few months ago we taught you how to improve Android performance through 10 tricks and improve the battery in any smartphone, today we will teach you how to solve this problem easily and without having to restore the system to its original values.
Since we will use Android's own options and applications, the guide described below is compatible with practically all devices, regardless of the Android version or brand of smartphone or tablet in question.
Uninstall unnecessary apps and free up internal memory space
It may seem logical, but one of the most effective methods to improve the speed of Android is to erase all unnecessary files and applications. In this case, it is recommended to do it manually: no Clean Master applications or space cleaners, since these are counterproductive in most cases. The ideal thing to do is to install a file explorer moving forward and look for the files that take up the most space, in addition to uninstalling unnecessary applications and disabling those on the system.
Another trick to improve mobile speed is to uninstall the Facebook application and install a lighter client or Facebook Lite. It is well known that it consumes a lot of mobile resources, and deleting it from the system is the best we can do.
Disable automatic app updates
Do we still notice the slow mobile? It may be due to application updates through Google Play. If we want to disable them, as simple as going to the Play Store application and sliding the sidebar to the right.
Then we will click on Settings and on Update applications automatically: we will give you no to stop updating automatically.
Hibernate the apps that consume the most battery
One of the best known methods by the Android root community. Until recently we had to root the mobile to hibernate the applications. Today it is possible to do so through the Greenify application, which can be found for free in the Google store. Once we have downloaded it, we will go to the Battery Settings to see which application is the one that consumes the most. After having written them down, we will go back to Greenify and select them to hibernate them automatically once we exit them.
Clear the system cache and applications
The cache or the system cache is one of the most important points when it comes to improving the performance of the mobile if Android is slow. In this case, we can do it through two methods, which together will significantly improve the operation of our smartphone or tablet.
If we want to clear the cache of the applications, we will only have to go to the Applications section of the Android Settings, select the application or applications in question and click on the Memory option. Finally an option will appear with the name of Clear cache. It is recommended to repeat this same process with the applications that occupy the most space on Android.
The way to clear the system cache varies a bit from what we just saw. In this case we will have to go to the Android recovery, which is accessed by pressing the power button or power and volume down at the same time (with the terminal off, of course). Next we will see a kind of menu with several options, although the one that interests us the most is the Wipe cache partition. We will press and confirm it and then it will begin to clear the Android cache. Finally we will click on Reboot system now and the mobile will automatically restart.
