Do you notice that your iPhone battery wears out even when it's not in use? It can happen that the terminal consumes a lot of battery when idle, and this is due to different factors. For example, a failure in the system, on your mobile or even an application on your iPhone. In this article I show you five possible solutions for this error and thus make the battery last a little longer.
Check the apps
It is usually the main problem of a battery consumption at rest. Some app is causing the battery to drain quickly, even when the iPhone is locked. How can that application be located? You have to access the system settings, the battery section. Then scroll down until you see the list showing battery usage by apps. Then click on 'Show activity'. You will see that the use changes from percentage to hours with screen and in the background.
You have to look at the application that consumes the most battery in the background. This means that, even if you are not using it, it continues to drain the battery. For example, in my case Mail is the one that uses the most battery in the background. Closing the app may solve it (from multitasking, swiping up). If you see that it continues to consume too much battery, it is best to eliminate it.
Restart your iPhone
The power failure may be fixed simply by restarting your iPhone. Perhaps some process has been loading or not closing, and when you restart the mobile you force the closure of all applications. So also from background processes. Just press and hold the power button if you have an iPhone with Touch ID. Or, press the power + volume button on iPhones with notch. Then turn the iPhone off and on again.
Be careful with the temperature
It may seem silly, but the temperature can also cause the battery to drain faster, even when idle. If you leave your phone in the sun at the beach or pool, it overheats and can cause the battery to drain faster. Apple recommends avoiding temperatures above 35 degrees or below 0 degrees.
If the battery capacity is low:
Check what is the battery capacity of your iPhone. It is done in Settings> Battery> Battery health. Depending on the capacity, the battery may drain more in standby mode. If Apple advises you that the capacity is low, activate the 'Low consumption' mode and delete the applications that you do not use. That will help you save some more battery.
Beware of bluetooth
Another reason why your iPhone battery drains in sleep mode can be seen with the Bluetooth connection. Especially if the connection is activated and with a linked device. Bluetooth relay tends to consume autonomy when the iPhone is not in use. Especially if it is paired with a device, such as a speaker, watch etc. Turn off Bluetooth when not using the iPhone, so you will notice a longer battery life. If you want to use the bluetooth device again, you just have to activate the icon from the control center.
