The obsession of manufacturers to create all-screen mobiles without more distracting elements is reaching interesting levels. We have an example in the new Meizu mobile. The company has just shown the world the Meizu Zero, the first mobile on the market without openings or "holes". The new model lacks buttons, speaker grilles, charging port, or SIM card slot. That is, it only has one panel to interact with, at least with the naked eye.

And do not think that you will not be able to charge your mobile, listen to music or raise and lower the volume of the call. The company has made use of more than 75 patented technologies so that the Meizu Zero can work like any usual mobile. For example, the charging system is carried out using a wireless USB protocol that does not require a connection to carry out the charge. In addition, it does not work at all slow, since it offers fast charging of up to 18W. It is quite an effective solution to remove external USB.
The traditional speaker grill, which is usually visible at the top or bottom of the terminals, is completely invisible on the Meizu Zero. All equipment audio is present on the panel thanks to mSound 2.0 ScreenSound technology. Of course, we will have to see the quality and volume it provides. On the other hand, the buttons, something necessary to operate the different functions of the mobile, are located on the sides of the curved screen. They are capacitive touch, so pressing them firmly will recreate the feel of a button. It can be said that it is similar to the home button of the Samsung Galaxy S8 / S9. You can adjust the volume or turn the phone on and off through them.
The most radical part is that the Meizu Zero only supports e-SIM. It is a technology that eliminates the need for a physical SIM card, although it has some drawbacks, such as the inability to easily change the card from one phone to another. ESIM is slowly landing in our country. For now, it is accessible through operators such as Orange or Vodafone, but only for smart watches or tablets, or for new Apple devices.
At the level of internal characteristics, the Meizu Zero has high-end features. The device comes with a 5.99-inch OLED-type panel, as well as a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor. Regarding the photographic section, it includes a double main sensor of 12 and 20 megapixels, as well as a 20 megapixel front for selfies. This model also has IP68 certification or a fingerprint sensor under the screen, a feature that we are beginning to see in more and more models.
For now, we know that it is not a prototype. Meizu plans to launch it in China soon. It will be then when we can know the rest of the specifications and see in action how this minimalist terminal spends them. The price is also unknown for now.
