Vodafone, the telephone company that operates in Spain, has presented a new service that responds to the name of Maximum Speed. Maximum Speed allows you to continue browsing without speed reduction once the megabytes of the rate have been consumed, all for a price of two euros for every 200 MegaBytes consumed in excess. This service is optional, and users who prefer it will be able to continue browsing with reduced speed - at no additional cost - once they have consumed their rate data.
Maximum Speed allows you to continue browsing without a speed limit up to a maximum of 2 GigaBytes consumed in excess (that is, up to a maximum of 20 euros spent through ten renewals in the same month). Once this figure is exceeded, the browsing speed is automatically reduced to the figure stipulated in each rate.
The new Maximum Speed service is aimed at all Vodafone customers, and is activated as standard for new customers and customers who change from prepaid to contract (migration) in contract mobile voice rates (except Mini Voice), Internet mobile contract and in the plans Vodafone yu contract. The service can be activated and deactivated at any time as many times as you want, for which you have to dial * 171 # and press the call key or call 123.
Maximum Speed is compatible with the following Vodafone rates: Mini S, Smart S, Smart M, Red M, Red L, Red XL, Internet Tablet 1 GigaByte, Mobile Internet 3.2 GigaBytes, Mobile Internet 6 GigaBytes, Mobile Internet 10 GigaBytes, Super Yuser and Mega Yuser (both under contract).
In some way, we are facing a variant of what we could call an additional data bonus, with the difference that in the case of Maximum Speed there is the circumstance that the mega consumed in excess are automatically renewed in the event that the user previously activates this service. On the other hand, in the additional data vouchers it is the user who decides when he wants to contract a certain amount of additional data.
In fact, if we compare Vodafone's additional data bonuses with this new service we will see that Maximum Speed is slightly cheaper, since to manually contract a bonus of 200 extra megabytes in this company it is necessary to pay three euros. But at the same time, the additional data bonuses guarantee that no more data will be consumed than stipulated, which in the Maximum Speed service is more difficult to control.
Maximum Speed will come into effect on February 16. Users who wish to do so may manage the contracting of this service through My Vodafone, the Vodafone platform through which customers can make changes related to their rates: http://www.vodafone.es/mivodafone/es / my-mobile / my-rate / add-on-savings /.
