- SPC Stella: the economic bet for the elderly
- SPC Opal: greater ergonomics for those looking for a basic mobile
SPC, the brand specialized in telephones for the elderly, has just renewed its current catalog of devices by launching two terminals for the most senior public. The two SPC bets for this 2020 come under the name of Stella and Opal. While the first maintains some design lines aimed at improving its use by older people, the second maintains somewhat more sophisticated lines, which allows it to expand to other uses. Both have a shell-like format, and the first uses a help button for situations that require urgent attention.
SPC Stella: the economic bet for the elderly
The first SPC terminal is aimed at meeting the needs of the elderly in the house. With a 2.4-inch screen and a resolution of 320 x 240 pixels, the phone has a large keypad that allows you to store up to two telephone numbers in direct dialing and up to five through the different keys of the device. This is accompanied by a distress button dedicated solely and exclusively to notify the emergency services.
The rest of the features are made up of an 800 mAh battery with several days of life and an LED flash that is embedded in the chassis of the phone to act as a flashlight along with a camera. In addition to having all configurable calls, the phone has a charging base to facilitate the placement process.
Its connectivity is not far behind either: FM radio, Bluetooth, Dual SIM, possibility of expansion through micro SD cards… Its price? 40 euros. 39.90 to be more exact.
SPC Opal: greater ergonomics for those looking for a basic mobile
The second SPC bet comes with the SPC Opal. With a somewhat more compact design than its counterpart, the phone has a slightly smaller keypad than the previous model and a screen that increases its diagonal to 2.8 inches.
Beyond the design, the differences with the Opal are rather scarce: both have a camera, FM radio, Bluetooth, the possibility of expanding micro SD cards through, 800 mAh battery… Again we find the possibility of changing the tones of call polyphonic tones to improve identification by people with hearing problems. As for the price, this starts at 50 euros.
