Samsung, in addition to being busy updating its range of smartphones to the latest versions of Android, seems to be also very busy with the performance tests of new equipment that could appear shortly. This is the case of the latest advanced mobile that has been known through the GLBenchmark registration page : it is the Samsung SCH-S960L.
Among the latest rumors that have become known of the manufacturer's intentions for the next year 2013, it has been learned that there would be new members of the Samsung Galaxy S families "" supposedly the Samsung Galaxy S4 for the month of April "", in addition to a less powerful version of the popular hybrid Samsung Galaxy Note 2, which would have neither a pointer nor a SuperAMOLED screen.
Now, in the performance test the results of a new terminal have been recorded: Samsung SCH-S960L. According to the leaked information, this mobile would equip, at first, a latest generation dual-core processor "" Snapdragon S4 at 1.5 GHz frequency to be exact "". Meanwhile, although the size of its screen has not been known, for the moment, it is known that the resolution that it will use will be in high definition: 1,280 x 720 pixels.
On the other hand, the smartphone would not be based on Windows Phone 8 to keep the Samsung ATIV S company. This model would also work under the Google mobile platform and in its Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean version. Therefore, given these characteristics, it could be confirmed that it would be a mid-range terminal and that Samsung would continue to bet on its update roadmap: the flagships would be the first to receive Android 4.2 Jelly Bean. What's more, if the rumors are true, early next year, Samsung Galaxy S3 and Samsung Galaxy Note 2 would receive the update.
On the other hand, among the new equipment that should hit the market shortly is the Samsung Galaxy S2 Plus. This model, which, apparently, would be an improved version of the original model, could be the perfect candidate for this nomenclature found on the GLBenchmark page. However, the PhoneArena portal is betting that it could be a somewhat more decaffeinated variant of the Samsung Galaxy S3 that some US operator would incorporate into its particular offer.
In the same way, the possibility that it is the most modest version of the current hybrid of the company is also ruled out, since there have also been tests of a model with code name Samsung GT-N5100 that could refer, perfectly, to the equipment that Samsung will present at the next edition of the most important mobile fair in the world. Among the most important features of this other discovered model are: a high definition screen, a processor with a working frequency of 1.6 GHz and Android version 4.1.2 Jelly Bean.
At the moment, Samsung has not confirmed that it is working on any other smartphone. Furthermore, all these models could perfectly be equipment that is only intended for a market other than the European one; the company sells advanced mobiles in the United States or in Asia that have never been transferred to markets such as Spain.
