Yesterday we knew a small part of the appearance of the next Sony Xperia Z4, and this time a new round of leaked images has completely revealed the supposed design of the next flagship of the Japanese company Sony. We are facing new leaked images of the Sony Xperia Z4, some images that, despite not yet having official confirmation, allow us to know in depth the design that the successor of the current Sony Xperia Z3 will have.
The new images of the Sony Xperia Z4 confirm design developments such as, for example, the renewed position of the speakers. Unlike the Sony Xperia Z3, the front speakers of the new Sony Xperia Z4 are located at the upper and lower ends of the front of the terminal. Another novelty of the front of this new flagship seems to reside in the position of the front camera, which happens to occupy the opposite place to the one it had in the Xperia Z3 (it goes from being located on the right to being located to the left).
And leaving aside the most obvious design changes, the true mystery of these leaked images of the Sony Xperia Z4 lies in the bottom of the terminal. On one side of the microUSB port you can see another port, and at the moment no means have been able to identify the exact functionality that this slot will have. Stated to speculate, we could be talking, for example, of a slot simply oriented to introduce a strap to secure the mobile.
In any case, it should also be clarified that the fact that the microUSB port of this supposed Sony Xperia Z4 comes without protection in the form of a cover does not mean that this new mobile is going to lose its resistance to water. The recently presented Sony Xperia M4 Aqua precisely incorporates a microUSB port identical to the one seen in these images, and at the same time maintains the IP68 certificate of resistance to water and dust.
And in addition to this mystery, it also remains to discover the place where Sony has decided to locate the microSD card slot in the Sony Xperia Z4. In the images there is no trace of this connectivity in the place it occupied in the Xperia Z3 (on the right side, above the power button), although the possibility that the port that can be seen on the left side should not be ruled out of this assumption Sony Xperia Z4 may correspond to a shared slot for micro-SIM cards and microSD cards.
Leaving aside the images, it is expected that the new Sony Xperia Z4 is officially presented during the month of September, coinciding with the technology event of the IFA 2015 held in Berlin (Germany). It is expected that the Xperia Z4 of Sony incorporates a screen of 5.2 inches with resolution Quad HD (2,560 x 1,440 pixels), a processor Qualcomm Snapdragon 810, 3 gigabytes of RAM and a main chamber with optical image stabilization.
