Some time ago we were talking about the possibility that the Samsung Galaxy S5 hit stores in two different versions. These rumors indicated that one version would include a plastic case and the other version would include a metal case. With the rumor that has become known this time, everything indicates that although it is true that the Galaxy S5 will be available in two different versions, these versions will only differ by the content inside the terminal. More specifically, in one version we will find the Samsung Exynos 5430 processor and, in the other, the Snapdragon 800 processor. Bottom line: we'll continue to see plastic housings on South Korea's next flagshipSamsung.
If we recap a bit back in time, we will see that a few weeks ago a rumor appeared quite supported by users in which it was stated that the Galaxy S5 would arrive in stores with two versions made with different materials: one made of plastic and the other of metal. It was relatively positive news since it allowed anyone who wanted to renounce plastic to buy a Samsung Galaxy S5 with a metal casing, also leaving the possibility of purchasing the normal version to all users who were not concerned about this detail.
But now it seems that the only difference between the two versions of the Samsung Galaxy S5 will be in its processor. The high-end version would incorporate an Exynos 5430 eight-core processor developed by Samsung itself. The processor of the "standard" version is not so clear for now, but apparently this version would include the classic Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 quad-core processor or the Exynos 5422 eight-core processor.
What the Samsung Galaxy S5 would share in its two versions are all the other specifications. The screen would be 5.25 inches and have a resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels. The processor would be accompanied by a memory RAM of 3 gigabytes, and the operating system would find us on the phone would be Android 4.4.2 KitKat. The camera would have a sensor 16 to 20 megapixels. One of the most striking novelties of this terminal would be the fingerprint scanner, a feature that would significantly increase the security of the equipment.
And what about the metal casing ? It seems that at the moment the South Koreans have no intention of changing the material of their most popular mobile phones on the market. Apparently, the metal case could be the main claim of the Samsung Galaxy F, a phone specifically designed to offer users the possibility of having a mobile with a case made of this material. For now it is only a mobile that has appeared in rumors and leaks, so there is no official confirmation of the existence of this terminal.
