Oppo presented its Zoom Lossless 10X within the framework of the Mobile World Congress 2019 in Barcelona. Along with this zoom we could see and touch a phone prototype that would integrate it. Oppo did not comment on this terminal, neither its characteristics nor its specifications. But it has not been necessary to wait long to know or have rumors about this terminal. It bears the name of Oppo Reno and could hit the market sooner than we think. We tell you everything we know about this mobile phone and about its camera.
Oppo Reno, first images made with this terminal
The terminal that we could see at MWC 2019 is identical to the one that has been leaking in recent weeks. We assume that Oppo had more than prepared this terminal but that they would have some sections to polish and therefore they dispensed with it at the mobile fair. The Oppo Reno is what that prototype promised, a terminal with a 10X zoom in a compact size.
The machinery behind the leaks doesn't take a day off. If a few days ago we saw its design and construction. A terminal made of glass and metal, with a 6.4-inch screen and a possible Full HD + resolution. In the photographic section we would find a 48-megapixel camera that would be accompanied by another 5-megapixel camera, on its front we would have a 16-megapixel camera. In the gut we would see the Snapdragon 710 processor, it would promise more than enough performance for any user.
Focusing on his camera, the first images made with the terminal have been filtered. In these images you can see the potential of the 10X zoom. They are photos taken of replicas of historical monuments or places of interest. Mount Rushmore, the Great Sphinx of Giza or the Christ the Redeemer. The zoom is the main attraction, we have it almost in the foreground since it has been highlighted using a circle that encompasses the part of the photograph in which the zoom has been used.
At first glance the results are more than surprising if we take into account the distance at which the person taking the photographs is, as well as the size of the replicas. There is enough detail in the area where the zoom has been used, we do not see a blurry image so we suspect that the stabilization system works correctly and is more than enough to help achieve clear and sharp images.
In addition to the photographs in which the zoom is the protagonist, we have two images taken with the 48 megapixel sensor in 12 megapixel mode. These are images that are intended to show your night mode, since they are situations with difficult lighting such as sunset. Without a doubt, the Oppo Reno will be an interesting terminal in the photographic section and promises to give users a lot of play. There is no official release date, although it is rumored that we could see it in early April.
