The Finnish company HDM Global could unveil new terminals in a few hours, including the Nokia 2.2. The device has been seen on the Twitter account of the popular leaker Evan Blass, revealing part of its design and some features. The new model would come to succeed last year's Nokia 2.1 with a more current look with almost no frames on either side of the panel.
As the leaked image shows, the new terminal would have a notch in the shape of a raindrop, thinner bezels, and a somewhat more prominent bottom, just below the panel, which would serve to locate the company's seal. The rear of the Nokia 2.2 would be built in glass, leaving it an elegant and quite clean appearance, with a single rear camera with LED flash (located in the center of the top) and the Android One branding on the bottom. It may also feature a dedicated Google Assistant button on the left, and the 3.5mm headphone jack on top.
The new Nokia 2.2 would be an entry device with affordable features, so it is expected at a price within the reach of all pockets. The evolution with respect to its predecessor at the design level seems clear, although with internal benefits more or less in the same line. It should be remembered that the Nokia 2.1 landed with a Snapdragon 425 processor, accompanied by 1 GB of RAM and 8 GB of storage (expandable through microSD type cards). Regarding the photographic section, this device includes a simple camera consisting of a single 8-megapixel main sensor with autofocus and a five-megapixel front sensor for selfies.
Its screen has a size of 5.5 inches, and it is possible that it will remain in the Nokia 2.2, although we hope that the resolution increases and that instead of HD it is already Full HD. Likewise, the aspect ratio would change, and from 16: 9 last year it would possibly change to 18: 9. We will be very attentive to the presentation of the Nokia 2.2, which could happen in the next few hours.
