Throughout these days Samsung has surprised users of the Samsung Galaxy S3 with a new update to Android 4.3. This update is already available in the vast majority of countries (including Spain) and in principle for now only users with the free S3 are receiving it. Anyone who has not updated their mobile should enter Settings, then " About device " and finally " Software update ". The update weighs almost 500 MB so you have to be patient when downloading it.
In this article we show you some of the news that this update of the Galaxy S3 incorporates. We are going to focus on the visual novelties, that is, on the changes that you will see when you have updated your smartphone.
The first novelty of all is a very noticeable change in the interface of the phone. Now the upper part of the screen includes a transparent notification menu in which if we are using a clear wallpaper it can be difficult for us to see the mobile icons (including the time). If we move the notification menu down, we will see that now the brightness adjustment bar has undergone some visual modifications as we can see below. Luckily when we are inside the applications, this notification bar returns to its original black background.
The application icons have also undergone changes, and in general we see that the source of the letter is much sharper than before. It takes getting used to this change, but in a few hours the truth is that you end up appreciating this clarity on the screen.
The lock screen is now completely different. First of all, with the update, we can fully customize this screen by introducing different widgets (the time will appear at the top of the screen as standard). We can also add more pages to the lock screen to access different applications without having to unlock the phone.
On the other hand, the Settings menu has also undergone a complete overhaul. It is now divided into four tabs: Connections, My Device, Accounts, and More. If we click on the " More " tab, we can access options such as Location Settings or the Lock Manager, among others.
A really striking novelty is that now we can zoom in on the photos in the gallery simply by tilting the phone. This new function is very well summarized in the following screenshot.
Another thing that has also been modified in the interface of the Samsung Galaxy S3 is the animation that occurs when we take a screenshot. Before, an animation would appear in which a line of white light moved from one side of the screen to the other; now the outside of the screen just lights up.
We probably left something new along the way, but in general these are all the visual improvements that users of the Samsung Galaxy S3 can enjoy from the Android 4.3 update.
