Two new low-cost terminals reach the Spanish market. The Xiaomi Redmi 6 and its little brother, the Xiaomi Redmi 6A, are put on sale in Spain with a price that starts at 120 euros. Both offer a 5.45-inch 18: 9 screen and a metallic-look polycarbonate back design. The Redmi 6 has a dual camera and a more powerful processor. On the other hand, the Redmi 6A makes do with a simple camera and a somewhat less powerful processor. Let's know its characteristics.
Xiaomi Redmi 6
Being also a very economical terminal, the Xiaomi Redmi 6 offers superior features than its “little” brother. It has a classic design, with a polycarbonate back shell with a metallic finish. It curves slightly at the sides symmetrically, tapering towards the edges to improve ergonomics.
The fingerprint reader is located at the rear. The screen is 5.45 inches and has an 18: 9 aspect ratio. It offers a resolution of 720 x 1,440 pixels, with a body-screen ratio of 80.5%.
Inside the Xiaomi Redmi 6 we have a MediaTek Helio P22 processor. It is a 12 nm chip that has an eight-core CPU and consumes 48% less power than other similar processors. Additionally, the CPU features ARM's Big.LITTLE architecture, which makes it easy to automatically switch from performance to low-power core based on the task at hand.
As for the photographic section, the Xiaomi Redmi 6 has a dual camera system. Its main sensor has 12 megapixels of resolution, while the secondary has 5 megapixels. Also, the main sensor of your camera has 1.25 μm pixels. Having larger pixels means receiving more light, which results in better photographic quality and less noise.
The camera also features phase detection autofocus, which allows for improved focusing speed. It also has a 5 megapixel front camera compatible with Xiaomi's AI portrait mode. It offers a single lens bokeh (defocused) effect.
The Xiaomi Redmi 6 with 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of storage goes on sale today with a price of 160 euros. At the moment it is available on Mi.com and the authorized Mi Store.
