On the other hand, this update includes a novelty related to Bixby, the new Samsung assistant. The firm has decided to eliminate the function of opening certain applications or options with the button. Now it will only work to wake up the assistant.

This update is still based on Nougat. It is reaching all users of a Galaxy S8. Even in countries where it has not yet been put on sale.
