Samsung is beginning to roll out the latest June security patch for the Samsung Galaxy S10, S10 + and S10e, the company's current flagships. For the moment, the deployment has begun in China, although it is a matter of time before it reaches the rest of the countries where the devices are marketed. Specifically, the security update arrives with build numbers G9700ZHU1ASF1, G9730ZHU1ASF1 and G9750ZHU1ASF1 for the Galaxy S10e, Galaxy S10 and Galaxy S10 +, respectively. It is being distributed via OTA, so it is not necessary to use any type of cable for downloading and subsequent installation.
The June security patch includes fixes for more than a dozen high-risk vulnerabilities and for eight critical vulnerabilities that were discovered in the Android operating system. It also patches 11 elements of Samsung Vulnerabilities and Exposures (SVE). This means that it is very important to do it once you receive notice of its availability. The normal thing is that when the moment comes you see a pop-up message on the screen of your device. If not, you can look yourself from the settings section, about the device, updates.
As we say, the security update has begun its journey in China, specifically in Hong Kong. In any case, it is a matter of days or weeks before it begins to do the same in the rest of the markets of the world. We recommend that you be prepared for that moment, and always have a backup with all the data on your device. Although it is not a software update, there are times that something may go wrong in the process, and some information may be lost. This is not normal, but prevention is always better.
In the same way, and since it is a security update, we recommend that you always update in a place with a secure WiFi connection. Avoid downloading any type of update from an open connection or with your own data connection. Also, make sure your Galaxy S10 has more than fifty percent of the battery charged at the time of the update.
