Just yesterday we gave you the news that Samsung was preparing the launch of two new mid-range mobiles with a fingerprint sensor on the screen. These two new smartphones are the Samsung Galaxy P30 and P30 +, two phones that according to the latest rumors will have a feature sheet very similar to that of the Samsung Galaxy A8. Now we get a new rumor that states that neither of these two models will have a fingerprint sensor under the screen, mainly due to the technology of its panel. We tell you all the details below.
The Samsung Galaxy P30 and P30 Plus will not have a fingerprint sensor under the screen due to its LCD panel
Much is being said this year about mobile phones with a fingerprint sensor on the screen. The latest rumors tell us that Samsung will be the next manufacturer to opt for this technology in its main mid-range and high-end mobiles, and it seems that it will be the Samsung Galaxy S10 that launches the aforementioned security technology.
As we can read in The Android Soul, the Samsung Galaxy P30 will have a fingerprint sensor, although in this case it would be chosen to implement it on one of the sides of the equipment, in a similar way to how the Mototola Moto Z3 does. This is due to the fact that the panel implemented in both models would be based on the well-known LCD technology. To date, the only sensors on the market under the screen are implemented in AMOLED panels, which is why their integration into an IPS LCD panel is an unlikely scenario, especially considering the brand's attachment to its AMOLED screens. Some media talk about the development of a new technology under LCD screens, although as we just mentioned, it is something unlikely.
Samsung Galaxy S9
As for the rest of the features of the Galaxy P30 and P30 Plus, they will have a sheet very similar to that of the Galaxy A8, as we mentioned above. A Snapdragon 720 processor, 4 and 6 GB of RAM and 64 and 128 GB of internal storage would be its possible specifications. Nor is it discarded that they have a double camera both in the front and in the front. Be that as it may, we will have to wait for new leaks to see if the rumors about both its fingerprint sensors and their characteristics are true.
