The samsung galaxy note 9 and s9 receive the portrait mode of the galaxy s10 officially
The Samsung Galaxy Note 9 and Samsung Galaxy S9 are beginning to receive the June security update with interesting news. One of the most prominent are new background blur effects for the camera's Live Focus feature. Specifically, we have four new effects: Blur, Rotate, Zoom and Color Point. With the latter, we can make the out-of-focus background appear in black and white, while the main object still retains its original color.
However, unlike the Samsung Galaxy S10, to use any of the effects, we will have to capture the image, go to the photo gallery to be able to later apply the edition. In the S10 we can change the effects in real time. This new June security update has also brought the much-desired night mode to the Note 9 and S9, available natively on the Samsung Galaxy S10.
Thanks to this function, quality is gained in images captured at night with our devices, improving the level of brightness and contrast and making them look more realistic and with more natural colors. In an image published by SamMobile we can see the difference between a photo taken with an S9 with night mode off and another with night mode on. The differences are quite important at the quality level.
The new June security update has started rolling out in some countries, including Thailand, Vietnam, and the Philippines. However, it is a matter of time before it reaches the rest of the places where the devices are marketed, including Spain. When it is available on your device you will find out, because you will receive a pop-up message on the screen notifying you of the availability. You already know that if the weeks pass and you do not receive it, you can check yourself if the update is already available from the settings, updates section. We recommend that before proceeding with the installation you make a backup copy of the device data, and check that you have the battery with more than half the charge.
