The Asha range takes the market one step further. The mobiles with which the Finnish Nokia makes it possible to take a well-equipped smartphone for practically unbeatable prices have from this week with two new devices on the shelves. At least in emerging markets, waiting for them to hit stores in Europe. These are the Nokia Asha 502 and Nokia Asha 503. These devices are the latest batch of the company's family of affordable smartphones, both endowed with a great design that combines colored housings with transparent coverage, giving an attractive distinction to both.
The two devices also identical designs, have respective screens three inches with a resolution of 320 x 240 pixels, and compatibility with standard dual SIM, through which we could carry two lines installed simultaneous telephone on both devices. The Nokia Asha 503, however, is also available in a version that is limited to a single SIM card. The main attraction they have as smartphones is full compatibility with social networks and messaging clients from various providers, such as Twitter, LINE, WhatsApp or Facebook.
In order to access these resources, the Nokia Asha 502 and Nokia Asha 503 resort to different solutions. Both equip Wi-Fi connectivity, but when it comes to mobile networks, each phone opts for a standard as a speed cap. The Nokia Asha 502 is a GPRS terminal, that is, 2G, so access will be slower; the Nokia Asha 503, for its part, does have a 3G option, which means that the fluency in navigation and data traffic will be notably greater. Regarding multimedia options, both recognize the most common video and audio formats on the market, in addition to installing five megapixel cameras withLED flash, although in video filming they stay in the anecdotal QVGA standard with a capture rate of fifteen frames per second.
In order to carry stored information, the Nokia Asha 502 and Nokia Asha 503 resort to a microSD card, capable of supplying up to 32 GB of capacity to these devices, more than enough space to have a good music library and to accumulate photos and videos captured with their cameras.
As we say, for now it has not been revealed when we will have these devices available to European users. With the Nokia Asha range, the Finnish company seeks to regain a significant market share by resorting to the attractive family of input devices, which are characterized precisely by boasting prices well below what is normally expected from a smartphone. With these Nokia Asha 502 and Nokia Asha 503, however, you have everything that a user who is not particularly interested in overly powerful equipment assuming costs that are around, in the most expensive cases, one hundred euros in free format.
