At the end of each year, the main mobile manufacturers start working on their next bets. And the year 2013 is full of news from Samsung, Sony, and even Apple could enter the game. The smartphones are becoming more powerful; you just have to take a look at what has been achieved in recent years: moving from mobile phones with a 600 MHz single-core processor ”” and even less ”” to enjoying terminals with two or four-core processors with frequencies work that make real miniature computers in your pocket. Moreover, with the arrival of flat rates in the mobile telephony sector, users have opted, in recent times, for smartphones, leaving conventional mobiles aside. But let's review the most popular releases for next year:
Samsung Galaxy s4
Recently it has been known that Samsung is working on new terminals "" both smartphones and a new tablet "". However, what has attracted the most attention is the well-known “Project J”. In this plan, new equipment from the Samsung Galaxy S family would be found. And all the alarms have gone off pointing directly to the Samsung Galaxy S4.
This model would grow a little more than its predecessor: it would have a five-inch diagonal screen with a resolution that would increase to 1,920 x 1,080 pixels, also known as Full HD. But here there is not everything, and if the first rumors are true, Samsung would put on sale a terminal with a 13-megapixel camera, leaving behind the current models with eight mega-pixels.
But there is still more: its processor would continue to be quad-core although its working frequency would increase to 1.7 GHz "" somewhat higher than the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 "" and, although this aspect is less likely, its RAM memory could be three GigaBytes. Although it is not something crazy, since today there are terminals with two GigaBytes in this section.
Finally, what is known is that, quite possibly, the Samsung Galaxy S4 will not be presented in Barcelona in the month of February and its presentation would be moved to two months later: during a Samsung Unpacked event in April.
Sony Xperia Odin and Sony Xperia Yuga
Two of the phones that sound the most in recent weeks are the Sony Xperia Yuga and Sony Xperia Odin, two smartphones called to be the first swords of the Japanese firm. If the leaks are not misguided, Sony would be willing to present two teams that would reach five inches, although one of them with a longer chassis than the other. Of course, the resolutions, like the Samsung model, would reach 1,080p or Full HD.
Meanwhile, they would also be the first terminals of the Japanese that would show quad-core processors. And more specifically with a frequency of 1.5 GHz, as could be seen in different performance tests recorded on the NenaMark 2 page. Meanwhile, the operating system on which these two teams would be based would continue to be Android. And, again in the tests, it is pointed out that Jelly Bean would be the chosen version: Android 4.1.1.
As is usual with Sony devices, the photographic part could be one of the most important of the Sony Xperia Yuga and Sony Xperia Odin. And it is considered that the sensors that they equip would be between 13 and 16 Megapixels. But beware, none of the data revealed has been confirmed by the manufacturer.
Iphone 5s
Apple's new model is the computer that has been least talked about. And is that the launch of the current model is quite recent. Of course, it is expected that an improved version of the current iPhone 5 will appear next year about the month of June. And, as could happen with the iPad mini with Retina screen, this model would improve some of the aspects of the current first sword of the Cupertino, such as the implementation of NFC technology.
The iPhone 5S could still retain the four-inch screen size, which has made existing applications have to adapt to the current resolution with new updates. However, perhaps where more emphasis could be placed by those from Cupertino is on the material that has been used in the black model: after a month of use, some models without sheath have been completely "peeled" "" peeled "", having to be sent to the Cupertino workshop to go through sheet metal and paint.
However, Apple should present new improvements in its software part: a bet that its most direct rivals have well assumed and that over the years have improved, both the user experience and the appearance of its different operating systems.
