The Samsung Galaxy S8 and Samsung Galaxy S8 + have achieved the first security certificate from the National Cryptological Center (CCN). In this way, the South Korean company becomes the first company to achieve this type of qualification in Spain. To achieve this privilege, the devices have passed a high level of security in the different tests carried out by the CCN and accredited external laboratories. Both the Galaxy S8 and S8 + have successfully passed five different sections: confidentiality, availability, integrity, traceability, and authenticity.
Phones certified for your safety
The Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8 + are the only mobile devices currently included in the Information and Communication Technology Security Products catalog. Both models have IP68 certification, so they are completely resistant to dust and water. In addition, they are protected with Samsung Knox. This tool offers greater security for data and applications against the risks of theft, damage or loss.
In addition to passing the strict CCN qualification process, the Galaxy S8 and S8 + have undergone other security tests. In fact, the two terminals were also approved by the NSA (the US National Security Agency), thus becoming the first Android phones that were approved for use with classified information from the US government. Thanks to these recognitions, we can say that the current Samsung flagships are able to serve companies or users who look closely at security. To those who do not want their files and data to be exposed like nothing. Especially taking into account the dangers that threaten the Android platform.
We imagine that Samsung will continue to take care of security in its next flagship devices. The company would be finalizing the details of its new Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9 +. It is very likely that those will be announced on February 25 in Barcelona, hours before the biggest mobility fair starts one more year: the Mobile World Congress.
