Samsung is doing an important job to launch phones with a good photographic section. It is something that we have seen in recent months in some of their new models. In fact, the company boasts of having the first mobile with four main cameras on the market, the Samsung Galaxy A9. During the past year it also launched one with a triple sensor on its back, and recently it has placed another device with a small hole in the screen to house a 24 megapixel front sensor. We are talking about the Samsung Galaxy A8s.
All this adding to its current flagships and its brand new Galaxy Note 9 phablet, which offers a very good set in this regard. If you are a bit lost on the subject and you want to know which Samsung phones are the ones that equip the best camera at the moment, do not stop reading. We reveal six to you.
1. Samsung Galaxy S9 +
The current flagship of the South Korean firm is equipped with a double camera on its rear. Specifically, it offers a 12 megapixel wide-angle sensor with a dynamic aperture of f / 1.6 to f / 2.4. This means that it is bright enough to collect information in dark places. The second sensor is also 12 megapixels and has an aperture of f / 1.5. The difference is that it is telephoto, so it shows distant objects with greater definition.

In our tests with the terminal, the images we captured were perfect in all kinds of situations, with very fast shooting and focusing. The results were sharp, colorful photos anywhere, anytime. Also, night shots and scenes with insufficient light did not result in photos with no color or noise. On this we can highlight that the software included in the Samsung Galaxy S9 + is capable of capturing up to 12 photographs, detecting which elements are real to eliminate noise from the scene.
On the front, the selfie sensor has a resolution of 8 megapixels. In addition, it has autofocus and an aperture of f / 1.7. One of its advantages is that it has a large number of different modes to beautify self-portraits: dynamic focus, panoramic selfie, food, fast camera or pro mode. This model is also capable of recording in super slow motion at a speed of 960 frames per second in HD resolution.
2. Samsung Galaxy Note 9
The photographic section of the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 is identical to that of the S9 + except for a small detail. The telephoto sensor offers an aperture of f / 2.4 instead of f / 1.5, which means it has a greater depth of field. This implies less response, or less blur effect, when shooting with the bokeh mode. In fact, during our tests we had to have the object at a specific distance, about a meter and a half from where we took the mobile.

That made it more difficult to shoot with this blur effect. In any case, once the photo is taken it is possible to edit it and modify the degree of blurring of the background, something that is always appreciated.
3. Samsung Galaxy A8
Although it has been overshadowed by other models in the A range, the Samsung Galaxy A8 is still a mobile that at a photographic level works very well for someone looking for a mid-range mobile. Its claim is that it comes with a double front camera of 16 and 8 megapixels, perfect for lovers of selfies. Both offer an aperture f / 1.9, which promises light even if the place where we are is not entirely bright.

The best thing about this double camera is that we can perform the so famous bokeh effect or dynamic focus. That is, we can give priority to an element of the image by blurring the rest. As for the main camera, we have a 16 megapixel sensor with an aperture of 1.7. In this case, images in dark environments are sharper and displayed with little noise. During our tests we verified that the shots in broad daylight have very good quality and color.
4. Samsung Galaxy A7 2018
Its strong point and its main claim is its triple main camera, three sensors that promise good quality and definition in the captures. But is this really so? During our tests we were able to verify that the device moves like a fish in water in this section, especially in daytime images, with a defined quality and bright colors. The triple rear camera of the Samsung Galaxy A7 is composed of:
- A 24 megapixel lens with f / 1.7 aperture with phase detection autofocus.
- A second 8 mega-pixel lens, with f / 2.4 aperture and 13 mm sensor, perfect for taking wide-angle shots.
- A third 5 mega-pixel lens with f / 2.2 aperture, which offers the depth sensor to perform a blur effect (bokeh).

To this must be added that the main camera of the Galaxy A7 includes an LED flash and is capable of recording video in 4K quality (2160p). If we turn it around, the front sensor of the terminal has a resolution of 24 megapixels and f / 2.0 aperture, which promises first-rate selfies.
5. Samsung Galaxy A9
When we thought that Samsung would not surprise with a device equipped with more than three cameras, it goes and announces the Samsung Galaxy A9, with nothing more and nothing less than a quad sensor. On the one hand we find the usual set that we see in a system with a double camera. That is, a 24-megapixel main sensor with f / 1.7 aperture, in this case, along with a 5-megapixel depth sensor with f / 2.2 aperture, which is the one that is capable of performing the popular bokeh effect. The other two sensors offer a different type of photography, which means that they do not work as a team with the first two. It will be necessary for us to select them in the camera application to use them.

On the one hand we have a telephoto lens with 10 megapixels of resolution and f / 2.4 aperture. This allows us to have a 2x optical zoom. On the other, an ultra-wide-angle sensor with 8-megapixel resolution and f / 2.4 aperture has also been included. The latter will be good for capturing images with an angle of 120 degrees. And what about the selfie camera? On the front, a 24-megapixel camera with f / 2.0 aperture has been added, which does not lack the much-used beauty mode.
6. Samsung Galaxy A8s
Like the Galaxy A7 2018, the Samsung Galaxy A8s also has a triple main sensor and a 24 megapixel selfie camera. But, what differentiates it from this model, and from any other, is that it is the first mobile on the market to include the front sensor directly on the panel. The South Korean has been able to design an all-screen terminal without a notch or notch, and for this it has minimally perforated the panel to insert the secondary camera.
On a photographic level, it behaves quite well. Its triple rear camera is very similar to that of the A7 2018. It is made up of a 24 MP sensor with f / 1.7 aperture, a 10 MP wide-angle sensor and a third 5 MP sensor to take photos with a blur effect.
