The Chinese brand ZTE has just presented its ZTE Axon M, the first mobile with a folding screen on the market. After many months of unknowns, the phone is official and we finally know all its outstanding features.
It is a terminal with two 5.2-inch panels, a 20-megapixel camera and video recording in 4K resolution. It comes standard with Android 7 Nougat, has 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal storage available.
The new terminal will be available in China, Europe, Japan and the United States, although in the latter country it can only be purchased exclusively with one of the mobile operators.
Multiple tasks at the same time with the dual screen
There is no other element of the ZTE Axon M that stands out as much as its innovative display system. From the brand they ensure that the objective is to be able to offer users the possibility of carrying out several actions at the same time.
In addition, another advantage of the double folding panel is that multitasking can also be applied to multimedia consumption: we can watch a video with one screen and comment on it in real time with our friends on WhatsApp on the other.
By fully unfolding the phone, we can obtain a total size similar to that of a tablet to enjoy movies and series in better conditions. And when it is folded we are faced with a mobile of standard size and easy to handle.
In total, ZTE has developed four usage modes for the ZTE Axon M smartphone.
We can use the ZTE folding mobile in four different ways
Dual Mode (A / B)
This mode is the star option if we want to take full advantage of multitasking on the ZTE Axon M. The idea is to have an application open on one of the screens and a different one on the second panel.
Dual Mode is especially interesting if we want to discuss a series or video with friends while we watch it. It is also useful, for example, to organize the agenda: we can have an open chat with a person on the first screen while we consult the mobile calendar on the other.
Extended Mode (A / A)
The two screens of the mobile become one, with a size very similar to that of a small tablet (a total of 6.75 inches), with Full HD resolution).
This is the most recommended mode to enjoy audiovisual content (videos, movies, series) or for games.
You can also use the extended mode for any application in which we want to have a broad vision, such as in a spreadsheet or in the Google calendar.
Mirror Mode (A / A)
This is the best option to share the same content in a large group of people. The phone folds up into a tent and displays the same video or document on both screens.
Thus, people on either side of the phone can see the same thing without problems and simultaneously.
Traditional Mode (A)
As we have already mentioned, the ZTE Axon M can be used with the double panel folded, which leaves a phone with a normal screen, like any other smartphone. It is the best choice for everyday tasks like making calls or taking photos.
