The ways of force are inscrutable. If you are true Star Wars fans , you are sure to love these smartphones. The Japanese company SoftBank has taken advantage of the upcoming release of the movie Rogue One: A Star Wars Story to launch a couple of phones that will make us decide which side of the force we are on. They are mobiles aimed at the mid-range, with simple but sufficient characteristics for normal use of the device. Two designs have been presented, on the one hand we have the model in black, in case we like the dark side more; and, on the other hand, we have the design in white, in case we like thelight side of the force. Whose side are you on?
On December 18, the new film based on the Star Wars universe will be released. The first "spin-off" of the galactic saga will feature a group of rebels attempting to steal the plans for the Death Star. Rogue One: A Star Wars story has become one of the most anticipated films of the year, so the SoftBank company has taken advantage of it to launch its new special edition terminals. As we said, we will have two models, one black if we are more Darth Vader, and another in white if we prefer the rebels.
At a technical level we are facing two terminals with quite interesting characteristics, with hardware that, a priori, seems quite powerful. Have a screen 5.3 inches with resolution full HD 1080p 1920 x 1080 pixels, processor Snapdragon 820 Qualcomm, 3 GB of RAM, 32 GB of internal storage with potential to extend through a microSD card, fine design with only 7 2 millimeters thick and main camera with no less than 22.6 megapixels.
In addition to the color and logo that will appear on the back, these smartphones will also have other customization elements. They will have wallpapers that will simulate the cockpit of the X-Wing or the TIE. Above Android 6.0, the system chosen by the company, we will have a layer of customization with light and dark side themes. Five exclusive figures from the movie Rogue One will also accompany the terminals, and will even include an application that will allow us to see "The awakening of the force" until 2020.
But that is not all. The terminals will have the Star Wars: Force Collection card game installed, with a code to get a gold envelope. We will also have a Star Wars-themed clock application and, how could it be otherwise, emojis and Star Wars ringtones. A luxury for movie fans.
SoftBank's new Star Wars smartphones will go on sale in Japan on December 2, although they are available for pre-order now. At the moment we have no evidence that they are going to leave Japan, but surely many fans will be looking forward to it, especially considering that the hardware that these terminals incorporate is quite interesting.
