Good news for Samsung Galaxy Note 9 users. The terminal was presented to the market no more than two months ago and LineageOS, one of the most famous ROMs today and a direct heir to the mythical Cyanogenmod, is now available to install on the latest member of Samsung's Note family. Thanks to this, we can enjoy the same operating system as the OnePlus 6 based on pure Android. Specifically, it is version 8.1 based on LineageOS 15.1, the latest stable to date.

One of the strengths of the Samsung Galaxy Note 9, in addition to its hardware, is its software. From a time to be part, Samsun Experience has evolved so much that it greatly surpasses pure Android. However, there are a large number of users who do not like Samsung's personalization layer. For all of them, today the first version of LineageOS 15.1 has been published in the XDA Developers forum.
This specific version is based on Android Oreo in its version 8.1, and integrates all the features of the latest version of the ROM, such as the installation of external themes or the ease of installing root on Android. Of course, it is a pre-official version, which is why some of the terminal functions do not work - forgive the redundancy - correctly. Aspects such as the iris sensor or Samsung's native applications are not functional at the moment, and they are not expected to work in the future because they belong to the official Samsung ROM. As for the other aspects of the terminal, they all work without apparent problems. Bluetooth, WiFi, camera, microphone, audio, GPS, fingerprint reader, NFC, calls etc.

If you want to install this version on your terminal, you must meet three basic requirements: that your Galaxy Note has an Exynos processor, that it is a N960F / FDS / N model and that you have the bootloader open with TWRP installed. Once we are sure of meeting the three requirements, the procedure is very simple:
- Download the LineageOS ROM at this link
- Download the ROM vendor from this link
- Download the Google applications from this link (this is optional)
- Restart in recovery
- Make wipe data and wipe cache
- Flash the previous vendor
- Flash the LineageOS ROM
- Flash Google apps
- Restart
