Its name is LG Vu 3, and those who keep track of the catalog of this South Korean manufacturer will know how to recognize what proposal it comes to mean. At the Mobile World Congress 2012 they presented the LG Optimus Vu, a team that played to answer what was seen in the first generation Samsung Galaxy Note, although distinguishing itself by showing a screen in a more square than rectangular proportion. The new LG Vu 3 maintains the same philosophy, although improving the benefits to meet the needs of a market that is committed to power, performance and multimedia solvency.
When describing the technical picture of the LG Vu 3, the first obligatory stop is on the screen. We find a panel of 5.2 inches developing a resolution of 1,280 x 960 pixels. Thus, the first surprise. From the South Korean they have not opted for the FullHD quality that we are used to seeing in this type of equipment, maintaining a distribution that shows a density of 307 points per inch. It's not bad, really, but as we say it moves away from the proposals of its competitors and it is surprising that LG has not put more effort in this section.
Where they do deserve applause on the processor. The LG Vu 3 carries Qualcomm's Snapdragon 800. It is one of the most powerful units on the market, if not the most powerful. We are facing a quad-core chip that develops a 2.26 GHz clock frequency, also backed by a two GB RAM. In general terms, it is situated at a very high level of solvency, between that seen in the Sony Xperia Z1 and Samsung Galaxy Note 3, without reaching the performance shown by the latter.
In the multimedia field, it is inevitable to focus on the camera and check that the shadow of the latest Samsung tablet phone is elongated. The sensor installing LG Vu 3 is thirteen megapixel, although no news about advanced video features, which seem to have to settle for itself interesting standard FullHD 30 frames per second. There, however, the multimedia power does not end. One of the most interesting points is in the sound. And is that like the LG G2 "" and the Galaxy Note 3, by the way "", this LG Vu 3 allows us to reproduce high fidelity sound in 192 MHz / 24 bit. The problem with this lies in the fact that the audio tracks recorded with this quality take up a lot of space, so it will be difficult to store a large audio library with high fidelity files.
Finally, we cannot fail to point out that the LG Vu 3 works with Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean, without there being news about when the update to Android 4.3 would occur, which on the other hand is taken for granted. In addition, in the connection profile it is necessary to highlight the presence of an LTE-A sensor, which will make possible data transmissions in mobile networks of up to 150 Mbps in compatible environments.
