LG surprised everyone with the launch of the LG V10, a smartphone that has stood out for its double screen. On February 21 we will know all the characteristics of the LG G5, the brand's new flagship. But the Koreans have not wanted to limit themselves to the highest ranges, so they have announced two new releases. LG has confirmed that it will present two new terminals at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona: the LG X Screen and the LG X Cam.
These are two terminals that, according to LG itself, are intended for users who do not need everything that a high-end terminal offers, but do not want to give up a good camera or a large screen. As can be deduced from the names of the terminals, each of the models will offer a premium feature but with a mid-range price.
LG X Screen
The LG X Screen is a terminal that offers a double screen. The main screen incorporates a 4.93-inch IPS panel with a resolution of 1,280 x 720 pixels and a density of 298 dots per inch. The secondary screen is made up of a small 1.76-inch LCD panel, with a resolution of 520 x 80 pixels.
As for the rest of the technical characteristics, the LG X Screen mounts a 1.2 GHz quad-core processor, which is accompanied by 2 GB of RAM. It also incorporates 16GB of internal storage and a 2,300-milliamp battery. The main camera of the LG X Screen is 13 megapixels and the front of 8MP.
How could it be otherwise, all the hardware of the new LG X Screen will be powered by Android 6.0 Marshmallow. The new Korean terminal will be available in black, white and rose gold. Its price is unknown at the moment.
LG X Cam
The LG X Cam, meanwhile, will offer an 8-core processor at 1.14 GHz. This processor will also be accompanied by 2 GB of RAM. The internal storage will be 16 GB and the battery will be 2,520 milliamps. As for the screen, the LG X Cam mounts a 5.2-inch IPS panel with a resolution of 1,920 x 1,080 pixels and a density of 423 dots per inch.
But what will really set the LG X Cam apart from the competition will be its dual camera. The new terminal LG incorporated into the rear a main 13 megapixel camera, which will be accompanied by a secondary 5 - megapixel. The front camera that incorporates the new terminal is 8 megapixels.
The LG X Cam offers an elegant design with a slightly curved finish on the front, a thickness of 5.2 mm and a weight of 118 grams. The new Korean terminal will be available in four colors: silver, white, gold and rose gold. The chosen operating system will be Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
With these two terminals, LG wanted to launch two devices that stand out in a single feature. The idea is that users who, for example, are only looking for a good camera, do not have to pay for features that they will never use, according to the CEO of the company.
Both models can be seen between February 22 and 25 at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. The LG X Screen and LG X Cam will go on sale in Asia, Europe and Latin America starting next month.
