The mobile with 3D technology from the Korean LG, LG Optimus 3D, does not yet have the latest version of Google's icon system installed. Failing that, Android 2.2 Froyo version is responsible for making LG's flagship work. However, the manufacturer has already announced when it plans to launch the relevant update to Android Gingerbread. The chosen date is October and it will begin to be received in the United Kingdom. Meanwhile, in the rest of the European markets, including Spain, it will arrive gradually over the next few weeks.
In addition, with this update to Android Gingerbread and according to comments from the Phones Review site, LG Optimus 3D will gain another functionality regarding the conversion of 3D images. Currently, this LG terminal is capable of converting videos and images in two dimensions to three dimensions. However, it is not capable of converting downloaded applications, as could be the case with video games.
The first video game that will take advantage of this new capacity will be the angry birds Angry Birds from the company Rovio. This already commented last February that they were working on a version compatible with equipment that had stereoscopic screens. But Angry Birds will be the first but not the last. For any application to be compatible with the conversion that LG Optimus 3D will be able to do, it must be created with the Open GL standard.
