If only a few days ago we told you that the Lite version of the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 had entered production, now it is another South Korean company that announces the arrival of a new phablet, or large phone, to its catalog. Specifically, it is the LG Gx, which boasts a 5.5-inch screen and whose technical specifications were leaked shortly before.
At the moment it is only available in South Korea, where it has been officially presented, and which reminds many of its characteristics of the LG Optimus G Pro terminal, with which it shares the same resolution (Full HD of 1,080 x 1,920 pixels, with a density of 400 dots per inch) and panel type (IPS). Also, this phablet or tabletphone is only slightly larger than LG's flagship smartphone (the LG G2, with a diagonal of 5.2 inches), but instead uses a somewhat less powerful processor, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 quad-core..
In terms of internal storage, it has 32 gigabytes, and if we look at its battery (fully removable), its capacity reaches 3,130 milliamps, which can ensure sufficient autonomy for current standards. As far as RAM memory is concerned, it also comes well assorted, with 2 gigabytes in total, and its rear and front cameras are capable of taking photographs with a maximum resolution of 13 and 2 megapixels, respectively (the first of them with the relevant flash).. With dimensions of 150.6 x 76.1 x 9.2 mm, weight amounts to 167 grams and to provide a browsing experience as fast as possible, hasLTE connectivity.
The new LG Gx comes with Android Jelly Bean pre-installed as the operating system and also incorporates some of the applications developed by LG and present in the other terminals that we have already mentioned (LG Optimus G Pro and LG G2), such as KnockON, QRemote, QSlide, QuickMemo and QTranslator, with which its customization is similar to what this company has used to us and it has been giving such good results. The news comes with Smart Day (a grouper of the most relevant information on the lock screen) and Media Time(which facilitates access to multimedia files as soon as you connect a headset).
As far as buttons are concerned, we find a physical button for the start functions together with two capacitive buttons that allow us to activate the usual commands to return to the previous screen and consult the menu.
If we look for details about its exact price or the date of availability in the rest of the world, the South Korean company has not yet confirmed such information, so we have to wait to find out more. Of course, we can choose between two colors when acquiring it (white or black) and as accessories it is accompanied by several covers with a small window on its front to be able to consult the screen without having to open them.
