In a context in which the average prices of top terminals are rising more and more, it is appreciated that intermediate options emerge that maintain a good number of first-line features but make some sacrifices to lower the price. The LG G8s ThinQ is the essential version of the LG G8 ThinQ. A terminal with a 6.2-inch OLED screen, Full HD + resolution and a triple camera for the rear. Where no concession has been made is in the power section, since it uses the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor along with 6 GB of RAM. To see it on the market we will still have to wait a few months. For now, we describe its main characteristics.

Triple camera
Despite being a more humble version, the LG G8s ThinQ has wanted to keep a powerful photographic set on the main camera. We are talking about a triple lens system with a 13-megapixel wide-angle sensor, another 12-megapixel standard for regular photos and in low light conditions and a third telephoto type to add a two-magnification zoom without quality loss. Precisely, this model has a dedicated mode for night photos that should improve the performance of this type of snapshot.
At the front we have a simple eight megapixel camera.
You don't play with power
Although there have been several fields in which characteristics have been sacrificed, the power section is not one of them. The LG G8s ThinQ incorporates the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor, one of the most powerful chips you can find today. This processor joins a 6 GB RAM and two configurations of 64 and 128 GB of internal memory.
Nor has LG's proposal to change the way in which we interact with the phone, through remote gestures captured by the smartphone, has been left in the pipeline. Of course, we will have to see how this technology works on a day-to-day basis when we test one of these models. In addition, it is capable of analyzing the palm of our hand to unlock the device.
OLED screen and battery
Within the screen section, we have a more humble model than the LG G8 but with the advantage that OLED technology is maintained. This translates into more vibrant colors and higher contrast, as well as lower energy consumption. The LG G8s ThinQ screen has a size of 6.2 inches with a Full HD + resolution of 2,248 x 1,080 pixels, and a slightly less panoramic format than the standard version. However, it is still an interesting panel to enjoy movies and videos.
In the battery section, we should get an approximate time of one day of use through the 3,550 milliamps it has. Of course, I want to test first-hand the efficiency of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor. To see the LG G8s ThinQ in the Spanish market we will still have to wait a few weeks. We'll be alert.
